Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 November 2026
flashie is an app that restyles your selfies with AI. This policy explains what happens to your photos and data when you use it. The short version: there is no account, we don't keep your photos, and we don't track you or show ads.
Who we are
flashie is made by Maguid Guebre ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@tryflashie.com.
Your photos
When you choose a look and add a selfie, the app sends that photo to our server, which passes it to Google's Gemini image model to create the restyled photo. The result is sent straight back to your phone.
- We don't store your photos on our server. They are held in memory only while your photo is being made.
- Google processes the photo under the Gemini API terms. Google may keep requests for a limited time to detect abuse.
- The original selfie and every result stay on your phone, in the app's library. Deleting a photo in the app, or deleting the app, removes them.
- The free editor, filters and sliders work entirely on your phone; those photos never leave it.
We don't use your photos to train AI models, and we never sell or share them.
Camera and photo library
flashie asks for access to your camera and photo library only so you can take or pick a selfie and save results. You can change this any time in your phone's Settings.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple (or Google on Android). We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check which subscription or credits you have. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and a random app ID that is not linked to your name or email.
What we don't do
- No account, sign-up, name or email is needed.
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No selling of personal information.
Server logs
Our server (hosted on Cloudflare) keeps short technical logs, such as which look was used and the size of the request, to keep the service running. These logs don't contain your photos.
Children
flashie is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Because we don't keep your photos or an account, there is usually nothing stored about you on our side. You can ask us what we hold, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@tryflashie.com. If you're in Australia, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
